Examples of recent website work
Krissy required an new website to promote her Bicester and Brackley ear clinics that have been successfully running for some years.
A new layout, navigation and improved presentation of the services offered was delivered together with search engine work and updates to Google Maps to help secure new clients.
I worked with Fatline Studios to create a template structure to display the many elements that made up recipes and products. This enabled a consistent layout for all these elements and made it easy for new items to be added by non-technical staff.
As a further development a custom plugin added schemas to the recipe pages to enable Google to show each recipe in a special layout. Extra work involved improving the performance of the site in certain sections and ensuring plugin updates did not alter the page layout.
The complex design was translated from a flat graphic to a fluid set of images that adapted to any screen size.
A custom plugin was written to download new podcasts and integrate them into the chronological structure shown on the site.
Spark holds wonderful live true storytelling events and this site promotes new events and informs visitors of the storytelling rules.
A custom plugin was written to embed audio of past events from a podcast service. This involved writing code to present the external data onto the site so visitors can play and search for the many recordings of past stories.
I introduced a new layout to the site that streamlined the content that made it easier for visitors to find what they needed from the extensive information spread across many sections.
Key achievements: adding a feature to find the nearest specialist health centre and support group, organising a series of free documents into categories and presenting a means to search and download them, transferring thousands of research papers from text document into searchable structured data.
This project with Fatline Studios involved moving the site to a new host and updating the navigation system to make it easier for visitors to navigate through the content.

Further work involved updating the content and page structure to improve performance and move away from an outdated plugin.
